Tickle me Elmo was first introduced in 1996 by a toy company named Tyco. It was based on the little, furry, red muppet character on the children show Sesame Street. The toy fascinated many kids because of its shaking and laughing ability when it is squeezed.

The toy had unsuspected demands on the market but unfortunately the supplies were not enough. Children were so delighted that they wanted the toy so much but because of shortage commotion started. A parent fights with another parent to have the toy for their children. There was also a shocking accident caused by the toy where a Wal-Mart clerk was hurt badly.

As of 1997, other tickle me dolls Sesame Street characters were launched by Tyco. There is the Tickle me Big Bird and Tickle me Ernie then Tickle me Cookie Monster. Unfortunately these products did not get the high demands like the Tickle me Elmo did. The Elmo toys had been out on the market in 2001.

In American International Toy Fair held in 2006, Elmo dolls were said to be back. This time the Elmo Tickle me dolls were very far way beyond the Elmo dolls ten years ago. The latest Elmo doll is known as TMX (Tickle Me Ten or Tickle Me Extreme). The TMX dolls does not only shakes and laughs when tickled but it laughs so hard that it lays to the ground and smashing its fists and begging for the tickler to stop tickling it.

There are three versions of the Tickle Me Extreme Elmo dolls that had been made. Each is identified through their box container. Elmo has different greetings with each box. One of the boxes has a top secret sticker while the other one contains a warning sticker. The newest one has a hole on its box and does not include flaps any more.

Once again everybody would like to grab one of these newest Tickle Me extreme Elmo doll just like the guy who was reported to point a gun at someone who has the doll and ask it to give it to him. As this Elmo dolls commission would likely to repeat try buying from online retailers than buying it directly from store even though online prices are higher than the stores. This way, it makes sure of the safety of everyone.

The most original kids toy out in stores today is New Elmo Live and it has swept the kids nation like a catagory five hurrican. Elmo products have been one of the most popular toy in stores. The greatest Elmo Toys have been known for over 20+ years.
