For instance, if you look at the movie industry, this is something that has been hungry for something new for years now. Sure there are some brilliant minds that might come up with a new and interesting idea, but when something works, they try a sequel and see how that catches audience. If the sequel is not what it should be, everyone is disappointed.

The gaming industry is also a good example of sequel making, because this is also something that tries to make the originals better. The only difference is that this field actually has the ability to improve everything they do as they progress with technology, and the sequels that come in this industry are great. But there is one aspect that bothers me a little bit.

Most games that were successful have had there part two, three, four or even more and they captured the audience with every one of them. But what about the jeux de Super Mario? The smashing success enjoyed by the jeux de Super Mario did not deserve a few more sequels?
